The Story Behind the Name
The name NASTY’s comes from our youngest son, Nathan, whose football teammates nicknamed him “Nasty” for his intense playing style. Though always a clean player, his passion on the field made an impression — and inspired a name that stuck.
A Family Dream Takes Shape
Our oldest son, John, while attending The Ohio State University, dreamed of opening a sports bar and grill called NASTY’s. Growing up in the restaurant industry, he poured that vision into business plans and menu ideas — even when a setback temporarily paused the journey.
Built on Passion & Hospitality
Encouraged by friends who believed in the idea, NASTY’s opened on March 21, 2012, in Hilliard, Ohio. From day one, the focus has been on great food, genuine service, and an atmosphere fueled by the same energy that inspired the name.
